Morsal Hashimee gained expertise drafting legal briefs as a law clerk for Immigrants First. Now an Associate Attorney, she works primarily on asylum, removal, and waiver cases. Morsal draws on her personal background as a child of immigrants from Afghanistan to fuel her passion for her work. She hopes to serve as a resource to the Northern Virginia immigrant community.

In her legal career, Morsal seeks to obtain justice and equity for marginalized peoples. She has had experience in civil rights, employment discrimination, and disability law at federal agencies as well as a legal aid organization. During law school, Morsal was a member of the Journal of Law, Economics & Policy. She also volunteered at a name and gender marker change clinic for trans and nonbinary individuals.
